Katy says it’s time to update, I don’t have much to say, but here you go Katy!

Random thoughts from Amanda:

Note: I just got a call from Ashley, the alligators have officially been removed from Gee Lake, the duckies are safe.  

This week has been kinda sad to me. I’m kind of disapointed with some things around here and Jason’s in Lake Jackson  doing landscaping until Friday. I feel so alone. I’m constantly amazed at the ways God is working through Jason and how he builds me up. It’s awesome to me that he is able to say the exact thing that I need to hear at the exact moment I need to hear it. 

Right now I’m working on a lesson on American Missions and came across the Mission Waco Church Under the Bridge. I’ve heard stories about Angela’s brother and sister-in-law who got to work with it, that’s so awesome. There are some incredible pictures of it and it just amazes me. It makes me sad that lots of the people there have tried to go to other churches, but were kicked out because of their past. I think the coolest part about the church here in Athens is that it’s primary focus is grace. (I know we don’t have any homeless people here, but…) There are all these crazy rich people, but they aren’t content in just donating money. I can’t tell you how many people have invited us into their homes, cooked for us, prayed for us and have invested themselves in us. That completely blows my mind. I never really cared about having money or a nice house until now. How cool would it be to have all that to share with others?

That was totally random and unexpected… but I’m not really thinking about what I’m typing. I’m thinking about comming to Commerce next weekend. How does that look for anybody in the surrounding Commerce area?? I love you guys, leave me LOTS of messages and send me e-mails full of happiness and sunshine.
