I’m getting married. I have a dress, now it’s official![]()
This week has been crazy!! I don’t think I’ve gotten more than 4 hours of sleep since Tuesday, but that’s okay. Busy is good I guess. It’s kind of cool to be alone for awhile. Jason’s gone to Palestine, everybody else is busy and I’m sitting in my room eating lunch and watching some show on VH1. I must say, this is kinda nice. My family STILL doesn’t have electricity so they can’t go home, but they’re comming here to go wedding dress shopping in a few hours. I miss them so much and am ready to see them. Yay for wedding dress shopping and good friends to go with. I love you guys a whole lot.
Time for a nap. Have a good day![]()
Hello all you happy people in xanga-land! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated, things have gotten a bit crazy. (Crazy is good, I like it
) I really don’t think I’ve updated yet this semester… so here we go!
First order of buisness, mark your calendars for May 20th. I hear there’s going to be a shindig at Southside Baptist Church in Palestine. You should come, I’ll be the one in the white dress down front. (Also, mad props to everyone who’s taking ballroom dancing lessons. There will definitely be dancing so you can show off your stinkin’ awesome dancing skills… as long as you teach me how to dance before we get there.)
Neeext, my family did have to evacuate from the hurricane and their area was hit the hardest. My Dad and Grandpa went to Groves today to check things out, they’re not allowed to stay because there’s no water or electricity, but they said both the house and church are just fine. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers, this is one of those situations that could have been really, really bad. God’s good.
Sidenote: We talked about mitosis in Sped the other day. I’ve been dancing around campus to the cell division groove all week. (I say this in order to get this stuck in other people’s heads as well so I don’t have to suffer alone.)
Who wants an entry with just a bunch of text? Time for random happy pictures![]()

Matt and Angela make me happy![]()

My family makes me happy![]()

Tee-hehe, Toe with Gummy bears up his nose…

I’m thinking that I kinda like this guy. (He’s pretty hot too, if I do say so myself.)
Well, I guess I should quit avoiding my Political Science. I love you guys a lot, and if I don’t update again for awhile, you should still leave me messages and I’ll leave you a message back![]()
Okay guys, I honestly can’t take this anymore…
I know I’ve told most of everyone (then almost everyone else knew before I did) but… I’m engaged to the most amazing man in the whole world
There… I said it
I’m so sorry to everybody who heard it from somebody else, we were trying so hard to wait until everybody got back to tell everyone in person, but that didn’t work so well, so there you go. Depending on how finances work out, we’re kinda looking at next summer in Palestine, so just clear your calanders for the entire summer
This week has been really busy, we got to go stay with my family in Groves, then went and saw both sets of Jason’s grandparents, and saw my grandparents in Houston. I have never been so grateful to have such a wonderful, supportive family. I am so excited and it was awesome to get to share this with them. Thanks for letting us stay with you guys
I was really trying to get a picture of my ring, but that has proven unsuccessful thus far. Instead here’s a picture of my knight in shining armor… (He thinks he’s a dog… I’ve always wanted to try this:

If you want to talk or want to know something, call me or leave me a message. It just kida dawned on me how many people I’ve lost touch with this summer. Call me! I miss you guys.
Hey Guys
I don’t really have anything exciting to report, but I’m really, really ready to go back to school. As far as I know, I have a new toaster for our apartment. What more could you possibly need? That’s about all I have to report, Groves is nice… much bigger than any place we’ve been in awhile. Oh! And my little brother has a massive solo on field during their marching show. (Yay for him
)
Here’s just some random silliness with some of my middle school girls from this summer:

Hey guys. So it took slightly longer for me to post than I thought… I’m FINALLY in Groves (by Beaumont) visiting my family. That’s about it, leave me messages, I miss you guys!
Hey guys, gone for youth camp until late Friday night. Call my cell if you need something, I think I’ll be able to get cell phone reception. Have a great week!
Man, I love days where you don’t have to do anything. It doesn’t happen often, but maaan it’s nice
I haven’t posted a picture in forever, so here are all the interns here while we were outside of our schnazzy suite at the rangers game.
This is Brandon, Gabe Shelly, Jenn and Robyn.

Not much more to report, I leave for youth camp tomorrow and will be back sometime late Friday night. If anyone else is anywhere near Athens the week after that, call me! Only 2 weeks left. I love you guys and hope to see you soon!!
Random update from Monday night’s game: We came like 20 from Owen Wilson. (Okay, so at the time, I had no idea who he was, but he’s the blonde,Ex-Fiance guy from Meet the Parents.) I don’t know if anyone even has a clue as to who that is, but there you go
Church was really good tonight. I like kids, I think we should keep having them around. (Note: This is like the third day in a row that I’ve updated
)
I know I just updated… but I just found out something. I really, really like baseball. A lot. I went to my second Rangers game last night and it was awesome. They played the New York Yankees, and lost by 1 run, but that’s not the cool part at all. A dentist from church invited us to go with their family. It was quite a sad day for us, because our nice front row, center feild seats were magically upgraded to front row seats in our own private (airconditioned) suite. It was crazy!! I’ll upload pictures someday, but there were these fancy silver trays full of food, Dr. Peppers galore and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake during the third inning. It was in many ways what I picture heaven to look like. (Not really, but it was stinkin’ awesome
) It’s a really good thing that I like baseball, because today I get to go to a Roughriders game and play Whirley ball. (For those of you who don’t know, it’s like bumpercars mixed with basketball.) I’ve gotten to do so many things this summer that I’ve never gotten to do. I work for the rest of the week, then I get to go to youth camp,Jason comes home, then is Camp Sonshine 2, then I get to go to Breanna’s wedding and see Angela! I’m so excited.
*Manda dances across the office, avoiding awkward stares from daycare ladies* You guys have a wonderful day, leave me a message and tell me about random, funny things to do at a sports event.
